These are two of my three latest completed commissioned works:

October 2008 - This one is a queen-sized version of the my Stained Glass Stack and Slash deign. The quilt is completely machine made and quilted as you go, so it's very easy to manage right up to the final joining of the blocks. I used my trade mark spiral free motion quilting and tried out bamboo wadding for the first time. It worked really well and is now available through my website www. quiltopiadesign.com.
The original quilt, Zen Courtyard, won third prize contemporary quilts at the Brisbane Show, 2007. It's been probably my most popular class ever. You learn lots of techniques and break all the traditional patchwork and quilting rules.
November 2008 - I was commissioned to make this queen sized version of my original design of the African quilt (offered as a free down loadable pattern on my website, with packs of 5 1/2 inch squares perpetually available for $40.00).
I decided to try it as a quilt as you go machine made quilt and was extremely happy with the result. I used cotton wadding and free motion quilted the blocks. It drapes beautifully and will suit its new tropical home in PNG.

  1. These quilts are spectacular. I'm just about to attempt 'quilt as you go' and can see from your quilts that the finished products can look great. I like the bamboo wadding too.
